Jn 6:30-35

The crowd said to Jesus:
"What sign can you do, that we may see and believe in you?
What can you do?
Our ancestors ate manna in the desert, as it is written:

He gave them bread from heaven to eat."

So Jesus said to them,
"Amen, amen, I say to you,
it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven;
my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven
and gives life to the world."

So they said to Jesus,
"Sir, give us this bread always."
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me will never hunger,
and whoever believes in me will never thirst."

April 9 Holy Thursday Lk 4:16-21

Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had grown up,
and went according to his custom
into the synagogue on the sabbath day.
He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah.
He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.

Rolling up the scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down,
and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at him.
He said to them,
"Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing."

April 6 ,John Chapter 12

1 Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
2
They gave a dinner for him there, and Martha served, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at table with him.
3
Mary took a liter of costly perfumed oil made from genuine aromatic nard and anointed the feet of Jesus 2 and dried them with her hair; the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil.
4
Then Judas the Iscariot, one (of) his disciples, and the one who would betray him, said,
5
"Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days' wages 3 and given to the poor?"
6
He said this not because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief and held the money bag and used to steal the contributions.
7
So Jesus said, "Leave her alone. Let her keep this for the day of my burial. 4
8
You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me."
9
(The) large crowd of the Jews found out that he was there and came, not only because of Jesus, but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
10
And the chief priests plotted to kill Lazarus too,
11
because many of the Jews were turning away and believing in Jesus because of him.

April3 Fri John 10:31-42

The Jews picked up rocks to stone Jesus.Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?"The Jews answered him,"We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. You, a man, are making yourself God."Jesus answered them,"Is it not written in your law, 'I said, You are gods"'? If it calls them gods to whom the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be set aside, can you say that the onewhom the Father has consecrated and sent into the worldblasphemes because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? If I do not perform my Father's works, do not believe me;but if I perform them, even if you do not believe me,believe the works, so that you may realize and understandthat the Father is in me and I am in the Father."Then they tried again to arrest him;but he escaped from their power.
He went back across the Jordanto the place where John first baptized, and there he remained. Many came to him and said,"John performed no sign, but everything John said about this man was true."And many there began to believe in him.

April2 ,Thu Jn 8 51:59

51 Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death."
52 (So) the Jews said to him, "Now we are sure that you are possessed. Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'Whoever keeps my word will never taste death.'
53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, 1 who died? Or the prophets, who died? Who do you make yourself out to be?"
54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing; but it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God.'
55 You do not know him, but I know him. And if I should say that I do not know him, I would be like you a liar. But I do know him and I keep his word.
56 Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day; he saw it 2 and was glad.
57 So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old and you have seen Abraham?" 3
58 Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM."
59 So they picked up stones to throw at him; but Jesus hid and went out of the temple area.
